| For Nomi Sunrider's top, I used New Look #6945, view E, with several alterations. The lining, shown at left, is an old sheet, and the outer layer is the same hunter green broadcloth used in the skirt.
For that snug look, I made it a size smaller than my usual pattern size because I didn't like the amount of ease in my mock-up. Instead of measuring how long (short, actually) the shirt needed be be from the shoulders, I just put it on Margaret, my dress form, and chopped. Because of this, it's a little shorter than I would have liked. I feel like I'm wearing the Jedi version of a sports bra!
The shirt has five buttons down the front, but actually snaps shut. At the time, I didn't have a buttonhole function on my sewing machine and I hate making buttonholes by hand. Also, this puts less stress on the buttons.
